The Whisky Experience.

Creating a unique whisky experience needs to best ingredients and equipment as well as a careful and involved distillation process.

Location

We have harnessed local knowledge about distillation methods that were prevalent in this area before the 19th century.

Casks

Our casks are soaked in different types of sherry, port and recently dark rum to achieve varied flavour profiles.

Water

We only use filtered and treated water that meets the highest European standards.

Equipment

We use small, flame heated stills, as they were common with the moonshiners in Wester Ross.

Barley

We procure our barley from Simpsons in Berwick who are able to provide it in the form we require.

Expertise

Our expertise in using ancient distillation methods has grown steadily as we experiment and refine the process.
